 raspberry schnapps or spirit

I've found, that it's not always necessary to make a mash for a tasteful schnapps:
200 g raspberries and 1,5 litres tasteless alcohol with 10,6%vol.
Distill the alcohol as usual with a pot still, but put the raspberries in the steam stream. The steam of alcohol extracts the taste and flavour out of the raspberries. It's amazing how intense the schnapps (or is it called spirit?) is.

You can also use white wine (extra brut) instead of tasteless alcohol.
